Transylvania — SoD

Transylvania is a medium 72x72 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, with an underground level and no water. Five players take part, but only one can be human, so the other four colors (Red, Tan, Green, Orange) are computer-controlled, and the map is set on Impossible difficulty. The players form four teams. Factions include Conflux, Necropolis (for both Blue and Tan), Fortress, and Inferno. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The author's description sets the scene of a region with a legend of an undead lord, which the new landowners ignored until it was too late. Rock, subterranean, dirt, and swamp cover most of the ground. Notable placements include two artifacts, Boots of Speed and Equestrian's Gloves, along with 197 random monster stacks, 54 mines, and 14 creature banks, plus a timed event.
