The Sum of All Fears — AB

The Sum of All Fears is an extra large 144 by 144 map for Armageddon's Blade, with an underground level and an expert difficulty rating. Five players share it, with up to four controlled by humans and Red reserved for the computer. There are no teams. Inferno, Castle, Dungeon, Rampart and Tower are the factions, one each for Red, Blue, Tan, Green and Teal. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers about a third of the terrain, water about a quarter, grass nearly a fifth, and snow a smaller share. Wandering Dread Knights and Azure Dragons are the most common roaming stacks, and a Sea Captain's Hat is placed on the map. The author builds the theme around a wartime remark about three fighting men gathered at a table.
