Russian Islands — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Russian Islands is an extra large, expert-level map for Shadow of Death, spanning 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level. Its story follows a king who is betrayed and killed by his paladin companion in abandoned dungeons, then returns as a vampire. Four players can take part, but only one seat is human, and Blue, Tan and Green are computer-controlled with no teams set. Red plays Necropolis, Blue Castle, Tan Tower and Green Stronghold. Water covers about a third of the land. Twelve towns, six heroes, 67 mines and 20 monoliths and portals shape play, with Boots of Speed, Titan's Thunder and a Wizard's Well among the artifacts. Victory means defeating a specific hero, and losing a specific hero ends the game.
