Russian Lands — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Russian Lands is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and an Expert difficulty rating. Six players share the map, and up to two of them can be human. Tan, Green, Orange and Purple are computer-only. There are no teams. Green plays Necropolis, Purple plays Dungeon, and the other players receive random factions. According to the author's account, a king was tricked and imprisoned, and freeing him is suggested but optional. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers almost half the map and water about a quarter. The map holds 27 towns, 43 creature banks, nine Gold Golem stacks, an Ancient Behemoth and several endless gold artifacts.
