Russian Federation — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Russian Federation is an extra large Shadow of Death map measuring 144 by 144, with an underground level and Normal difficulty. Four players can all be human, and no teams are set, so everyone competes against each other with a random faction. About two thirds of the surface is water, with grass and sand covering most of the remaining land. The author notes that the vast territory leaves open patches of dry ground. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 25 towns, 8 starting heroes, 52 mines, 38 monoliths and portals, the Grail, 114 random monster stacks, and 29 random artifacts. Roaming Azure Dragons, Crystal Dragons, and Ice Elementals are among the wandering forces.
