Master Of The Dark — SoD

Master Of The Dark is a medium 72x72 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and an Expert difficulty rating. It is built for six players, of which four can be human, and the two computer-only colors are Purple and Pink. No teams are set. The factions are Castle, Stronghold, Rampart, Tower, Necropolis and Dungeon, one per color. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The story, drawn from the author's note, concerns a land overrun by a necromancer who calls himself the Grim Reaper. The map holds 14 towns and 15 placed heroes, with grass, water, lava and snow covering most of its surface. Notable finds include the Grail, a Master Genie and a Roc among the wandering monsters, and eight placed artifacts such as the Boots of Speed and the Orb of the Firmament.
