Mass Confusion (SOD) — SoD

Mass Confusion is an extra large Shadow of Death map for eight players, with two human seats and six computer-only colors arranged into four teams. It spans a 144 by 144 grid with an underground level, and its difficulty is set to Expert. Each player leads one of the eight factions, from Castle and Rampart to Inferno, and the terrain is roughly a third water, with rock, subterranean ground, and grass making up most of the rest. The map is won by defeating every enemy, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Sixteen towns, five starting heroes, and 183 random monster stacks fill the land, alongside dwellings for creatures such as Angels, Dragons, and Crystal Dragons. Notable finds include Armageddon's Blade, the Golden Bow, and the Vial of Dragon Blood, plus 114 mines and eight monoliths and portals.
