Mine Baron is an Extra Large surface map of 144 by 144 tiles for two human players, with no teams and Impossible difficulty. Both players start with random factions. Victory requires flagging all 65 mines, and the game is lost if time runs out after 252 days. The author's description says that only a player who takes every mine earns the title, and advises against rushing because some mines can be opened only by the opponent. The terrain is mostly dirt, with rock covering about a fifth of the map and water about 14 percent. Three towns, one starting hero, 45 quest guards, 20 creature banks, and two monolith and portal pairs are spread across it. Notable finds include a set of Legion armor pieces, several Mana artifacts, and dwellings for dragons, sea serpents, and pirates.
