Lone Knight is an extra large Shadow of Death map of 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level, set at normal difficulty. The story has the king incapacitated and the queen banished by a treacherous prime minister, leaving heroes to restore order. Prince Jasca is one option among several rulers to follow. Eight players share the map, with up to four human participants and four computer-only colors, grouped into five teams. The factions are Rampart, Stronghold, Fortress, Conflux, Dungeon, Necropolis, Inferno, and one random. Rock, water, grass, and lava cover most of the land. Notable features include a Grail, a Wizard's Well, several tomes, and a Statue of Legion. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes.

Author's description

The King is incapacitated and the Queen is banished by the evil Prime Minister. The kingdom is in need of heroes to restore peace once again. Play the role of Prince Jasca to reclaim his rightful throne and rescue his parents or follow one of the other three rulers in the land to save the kingdom.
