It is played on Hard difficulty and organized into three teams. Red plays Castle, Blue plays Dungeon, Teal plays Rampart, and Pink combines Inferno and Necropolis. The story centers on a resurrected death guardian who spreads panic across the continent, and players must work with an ally to retake the land. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The landscape is mostly rock, dirt, and grass, with some lava and about seven percent water. Scattered across it are 21 towns, seven heroes, 36 mines, 41 creature banks, and a range of wandering monsters, led by Arch Devils and Skeleton Warriors.
