Isles of the Ancients (SOD) — SoD

Isles of the Ancients is an Extra Large Shadow of Death map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, and it includes an underground level. It is set to Impossible difficulty and holds eight players in four teams, with up to two human players and the other six colors controlled by the computer. The factions are Necropolis, Fortress, Rampart, Stronghold, Castle, Dungeon, Tower and Conflux. Water covers about 35 percent of the map, with grass and dirt making up much of the remainder. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map's 24 towns are joined by 115 mines, 55 random artifacts, 8 seer huts and 17 monoliths and portals, and wandering dragons, a Phoenix and a Gold Golem roam among the random monster stacks.
