Isles of the Ancients (SOD) — SoD

Isles of the Ancients is an Extra Large Shadow of Death map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, with an underground level and Impossible difficulty. Eight players form four teams, and up to two of them can be human, with the rest controlled by the computer. The factions in play are Necropolis, Fortress, Rampart, Stronghold, Castle, Dungeon, Tower and Conflux. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Water covers about 35 percent of the map, with grass and dirt making up most of the remainder. The map holds 24 towns, eight starting heroes, 115 mines, 55 random artifacts, eight seer huts and 17 monoliths and portals. Wandering dragons, a Phoenix, a Gold Golem, a Zealot and a Grand Elf roam the land, alongside 474 random monster stacks.
