Isles of the Ancients (SOD) — SoD

Isles of the Ancients is an Extra Large 144 by 144 Shadow of Death map with an underground level and the Impossible difficulty setting. Eight players share the map in four teams, and each player controls one of eight factions, from Necropolis and Fortress to Conflux. Up to two of the seats can be human, and the rest are computer-controlled. Water covers about 35 percent of the terrain, with grass and dirt making up most of the rest. The map holds 24 towns and eight starting heroes. Wandering dragons, a Phoenix, a Gold Golem, and a Grand Elf roam the land, alongside many random monster stacks, 55 artifacts, 115 mines, and 17 monoliths and portals. A player wins by defeating all enemies and loses by losing every town and hero.
