Hellfire! — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Hellfire! is a medium surface map of 72 by 72 tiles for Restoration of Erathia, set at normal difficulty. Five colors take part, with up to four human players, while Orange is controlled only by the computer. The players form three teams, and the factions are Dungeon, Fortress, Stronghold, Necropolis, and Inferno. The story centers on a sorcerer who has built a demon in the city of Hellfire, and the goal is to take that city and destroy the demon before it is too late. Victory comes from capturing a specified town, and a player loses after losing all towns and heroes. Lava covers about 40 percent of the land and water about 23 percent. The map has 14 towns, 67 mines, and roaming imp stacks, along with artifacts such as Angel Wings and the Ring of Infinite Gems.
