Heavy Metal is a medium 72x72 two-player map for the Restoration of Erathia setting, played on the surface at Impossible difficulty. Its author describes two friends whose partnership is built on doing everything against each other, and the map is presented as an example of that. Two human players can take part, with no teams and no computer-only colors, and each side receives a random faction. Water covers about 15 percent of the map, with grass, swamp, and sand making up much of the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while the game is lost if time runs out after 168 days. Scattered across the land are two towns, eighteen mines, five seer huts, six creature banks, and six monoliths and portals, along with wandering monsters that include Titans, Ancient Behemoths, and Earth Elementals.
