Heavy metal — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Heavy Metal is a medium 72x72 map for two players, with each side able to be human, and no teams or computer-only colors. Both players start with random factions. The author's note, written in Polish, describes two friends whose bond is unusual, since everything they do together they do against each other, and the map is presented as an example of that idea. It is set on the surface, plays at Impossible difficulty, and requires the player to defeat all enemies before the time limit of 168 days runs out. The terrain is mostly grass, with notable swamp, water and sand. The map holds two towns, four heroes, 18 mines, five seer huts, six creature banks and six monolith and portal sets, plus many wandering monsters such as Titans and Earth Elementals and a long list of placed artifacts.
