Heritage of the Ancients is an Extra Large underground map for Armageddon's Blade, measuring 144 by 144 and played on Impossible difficulty. Its premise is conquering the world against opponents far stronger than the player. Eight colors take part, but only one human player can join, and the other seven are computer-controlled. The two teams field Tower, Fortress, Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Necropolis and Dungeon factions, with Orange using both Castle and Stronghold. Rock, water, snow and grass cover most of the land, which holds 30 towns, 112 mines and 41 creature banks. Wandering Water Elementals, Master Genies and Phoenixes roam the map, and the Grail is placed on it. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while losing a specific hero ends the game.
