Carpathia — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Carpathia is an extra large 144 by 144 map with an underground level, set after a king's death, when the realm splits into pieces. Seven players each control one of the seven factions: Dungeon, Tower, Stronghold, Rampart, Fortress, Castle and Necropolis, with no teams and all seven seats open to humans. Terrain is mostly rock, grass and rough ground, with a small share of water and a fair amount of subterranean ground. The map holds 16 towns and 17 heroes, along with wandering monsters such as mummies, trolls and dragons, plus 96 mines and 15 creature banks. Several artifacts are placed around the map. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero.
