Capetuan — SoD

Capetuan is an extra large underground map for eight players, each controlling one of the eight standard factions, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so all eight seats can be filled by humans. Set at 144 by 144 tiles on the Shadow of Death version, it is rated Expert and is mostly rock, with about a fifth of its surface covered by water and smaller stretches of grass and dirt. Victory comes from defeating every enemy, and a player is eliminated once all their towns and heroes are lost. The map holds nine towns and twenty starting heroes, with wandering stacks of Battle Dwarves, Nomads, Rocs and elementals scattered across the land. Dwellings offer a wide mix of creatures, and the map includes many mines, seer huts, creature banks, monoliths and portals, plus a number of placed artifacts and one timed event.
