Batory Wyrusza na Moskwę — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
This Restoration of Erathia map, whose title means "Batory Marches on Moscow," imagines an alternate history in which King Stefan Batory lives beyond his real death and pursues his far-reaching ambitions. As King Batory, the player must find an artifact known as the Monomakh's Cap, also called the Sea Wolf's Helm, and carry it to Moscow. The extra large surface-only map spans 144 by 144 tiles, with about 14 percent water and mostly grass and rough ground. Eight players share it on hard difficulty, with one human seat, seven computer-controlled colors, and five teams. Factions include Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Fortress, Tower, and Inferno. Notable features include 28 towns, 92 mines, four monoliths and portals, and wandering stacks of Skeletons, Hell Hounds, and Iron Golems. Defeat comes when all towns and heroes are lost.
