The factions are Tower, Castle, Rampart, Dungeon, Necropolis, and Inferno, one per player. The author presents it as a struggle among four lords who want peace, with a question about whether the cost is worth it. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated by losing all towns and heroes. Terrain is mostly dirt, grass, rock, and lava, with very little water. Notable features include the Grail, 39 random artifacts, 61 mines, 10 creature banks, and several roaming Archangel stacks.
