1937-1945 — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The map is titled 1937-1945, and the author's note ties it to the years of the war in that period and to later disputes over how that history is remembered. It is a large underground-capable map of 108 by 108 tiles, played at Expert difficulty in the Shadow of Death version, for four players with up to three human participants. The fourth color, Pink, is computer-controlled only. Two teams compete, and Teal plays four factions while the others have one or two each. Water covers about 56 percent of the surface. A player wins by acquiring the Angelic Alliance artifact and loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include 50 mines, 16 monoliths and portals, and a range of dwellings such as Genie and Giant sites.
