Zoltrix — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Zoltrix is an extra large underground map measuring 144 by 144 tiles for Restoration of Erathia, set at Hard difficulty. Seven players each begin with a different faction, from Stronghold to Inferno, and all seven seats can be taken by humans. There are no teams and no computer-only colors. Water covers well over half the surface, and dirt, rock and subterranean ground make up most of the rest. The author's note suggests a choice between destroying every rival or seeking out the Shackles of War. Victory requires acquiring that artifact, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The map holds twelve towns, 71 mines, the Grail, and 15 specific artifacts, plus 530 random ones. Wandering stacks of Efreet Sultans, Earth Elementals and Dendroid Soldiers are common.
