ZOLTRIX — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
ZOLTRIX is an extra large map of 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level, played on Hard difficulty for up to seven human players, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Each of the seven colors starts with a different faction: Stronghold, Necropolis, Fortress, Tower, Rampart, Dungeon and Inferno. Water covers well over half the map, with dirt, rock and subterranean ground making up most of the rest. The map is won by acquiring a specific artifact, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Among the features are twelve towns, 71 mines, 24 creature banks, five seer huts and the Grail, along with many placed artifacts such as the Cape of Velocity and the Golden Bow. Wandering stacks of Efreet Sultans, Earth Elementals and Dendroid Soldiers are common.
