World — RoE

This extra large 144 by 144 map includes an underground level and is rated for expert play. Four players can take part, with two human players at most, and Red and Blue are computer-controlled. Red plays Inferno and Blue plays Tower, while Green and Purple receive random factions. There are no teams. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The description evokes a lost city beneath the ocean that dark forces threaten. Water covers about 35 percent of the surface and rock much of the rest. The map holds 36 towns, 11 pre-placed heroes, and many wandering monster stacks, including 18 of Battle Dwarves. Placed artifacts include the Titan's Gladius, and the Grail is also on the map.
