War of the Five Kings is an underground map for Horn of the Abyss, played on a giant 252 by 252 field at Normal difficulty. Eight colors take part, seven of them open to human players, while Pink is computer-controlled only, and there are no fixed teams. Each color starts with its own faction, ranging from Stronghold and Tower to Dungeon and Cove. The author describes a rivalry among neighbors that is close to civil war, with no unclaimed land. Rock covers about half the tiles and water about 30 percent. The map holds 39 towns, 70 mines, 20 monoliths and portals, and the Horn of the Abyss. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero.
