Way of the Pirates 2 v1.1 — SoD

Overview

Written from the facts in this map's file

Way of the Pirates 2 is an Extra Large 144x144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and Normal difficulty. Its author describes it as a prequel to the original Way of the Pirates. Seven colors compete, with one human slot (Tan, playing Castle) and six computer-controlled opponents. Each color has its own faction: Stronghold, Necropolis, Dungeon, Inferno, Fortress, and a Dungeon and Conflux pairing for Orange. There are no teams. Victory requires acquiring a specific artifact, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly rough, subterranean, snow, and grass, with about 13 percent water. The map holds the Grail, 74 mines, 128 creature banks, and 28 monoliths and portals, along with wandering Battle Dwarves and Gold Dragons.
