War of the Worlds — WoG

War of the Worlds is a large two-level map of 108 by 108 tiles, played on an underground layer as well. Four players compete in two teams, with each of the four seats controlled by a human, so the match can be contested entirely by people. The factions are Inferno for Red, Dungeon for Blue, Castle for Green, and Rampart for Orange. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated once all of their towns and heroes are lost. Rock covers a little under half the terrain, with water, grass, and lava making up most of the rest. Expert difficulty is set. Among the placed objects are a Grail, fifteen named artifacts, dwellings for a dozen creature types, and a range of wandering monster stacks.
