War of the Ring — WoG
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The War of the Ring is an extra large underground-enabled map of 144 by 144 tiles, played for three players with a hard difficulty setting. Red shares a team against Blue and Green, and Red's side mixes Inferno, Necropolis and Stronghold, while both Blue and Green play Castle. The map has no computer-only colors, so all three seats can be human. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The landscape is largely rock and grass, with water making up about eight percent. Players will find eighteen towns, 56 mines, twenty creature banks, and a large number of placed artifacts, including the Dragon Scale Armor and the Crown of Dragontooth. Wandering Hell Hounds, Trolls and Nomads roam the land, and the dwellings offer a mix of creatures from Dendroid Guards to Green Dragons.
