War of the Kingdom — RoE

War of the Kingdom is an extra large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles, set for eight players with only one human seat and no teams, so the seven other colors are all computer controlled. Every faction is random, and victory comes from defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. The terrain is mostly rock, subterranean ground, dirt and rough land, with no water. Sixteen towns and 27 starting heroes are placed across the map, and wandering monsters such as Diamond Golems, Hobgoblins, Gogs and Obsidian Gargoyles roam the paths. Dwellings hold creatures ranging from Angels and Unicorns to Pit Fiends and Efreets, and the map includes a large number of mines, seer huts, creature banks and monoliths, along with a set of named artifacts. The difficulty is rated hard.
