War chain 3 — RoE

War Chain 3 is a large two-level map of 108 by 108 tiles, played by four players who each command a single faction: Stronghold, Rampart, Tower and Fortress. Every player is a separate side, with no teams, and all four seats can be human. Victory comes from defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated once they lose every town and hero. Rock covers about a third of the terrain and water roughly another third, with grass and subterranean ground making up the rest. The map holds eight towns, four starting heroes, and 45 mines, along with a Grail, two seer huts, four creature banks and fourteen monoliths and portals. Fifteen named artifacts and 35 random ones are scattered across the map, and 163 random monster stacks guard the land, with three zombie stacks wandering the field.
