Wales is a large 108 by 108 map with an underground level, rated Hard and built for seven players, of whom up to two can be human. The players form three teams and use Rampart, Castle, Dungeon, Necropolis, and Stronghold, with one color drawing a random faction. The author sets the story in 1272, when a newly crowned English king sets out to subdue Wales, and two Welsh princes must unite against him, perhaps with help from the Otherworld. About a quarter of the map is water, with grass and rock covering most of the rest and some subterranean ground. It holds 22 towns, 13 heroes, and 49 mines, plus artifacts such as Dragon Scale Armor and many wandering stacks, including numerous Water Elementals. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero.
