Set in 1272, this large 108 by 108 map with underground levels pits the Welsh against King Edward I of England, who has taken the throne intending to subdue Wales. The Welsh leaders Llywellyn and Pryderi must unite to hold their land, and they may find aid from the Otherworld. Seven players share the field, with up to two human participants and the rest computer-controlled, grouped into three teams. Factions include Rampart, Castle, Dungeon, Necropolis, and Stronghold, while one seat is random. Victory requires eliminating every enemy, and a player is defeated once all towns and heroes are lost. Hard difficulty brings 22 towns, 13 heroes, 49 mines, and 162 random monster stacks, with about a quarter of the terrain covered by water.
