Eight colors share the field, but only one seat is for a human player, and the other seven are computer-controlled and grouped into seven teams. Factions include Inferno, Necropolis, Rampart, Dungeon, Fortress, Tower, Stronghold, and Castle. Rock covers about a third of the terrain and water about a quarter, with grass and subterranean ground making up smaller shares. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The map has 34 towns and 13 heroes, and wandering Titans and Gold Dragons roam the land alongside 31 random artifacts and the Grail.
