Unleash is an extra large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles for seven players, four of whom can be human, with the other three colors left to the computer. The author notes that four rival players are roughly evenly matched, and each side has a flood-like trump card that can drown enemy lands at the risk of drowning its owner too. Teams are split across five groupings, and the factions are random for Red, Blue, Tan and Green, while Orange plays Fortress, Teal plays Tower and Pink plays Necropolis. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Terrain is mostly rock, dirt, water and grass, with water covering about 15 percent of the map. Notable features include four Diamond Golems, four Ancient Behemoths, four Azure Dragons and a Dread Knight as wandering monsters, plus 23 towns and 26 monoliths and portals.
