The Unearthed City of Aukuba is an Extra Large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles, built for Restoration of Erathia and rated Expert. It has four player colors, but only one can be human, with Blue, Tan and Orange left to the computer, and the players are split into two teams. Red plays Castle, Blue plays Tower, Tan plays Dungeon and Orange plays Inferno. Rock covers much of the surface, with water taking about 28 percent, along with subterranean and lava areas. The author describes new caverns opening after earthquakes and a smell of brimstone from the south, with King Bion gathering troops against old enemies. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and the game is lost if a specific hero falls. Ten towns, seven placed heroes, and a large set of artifacts, mines and creature banks are spread across the map, including dragons and demons among the wandering monsters.
