Underground Rebellion is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, played on the underground level at the Impossible difficulty setting. Seven players share the map in two teams, with up to two human players and five computer-controlled colors (Tan, Green, Orange, Purple and Teal). Factions vary by color, with Castle, Rampart, Tower, Necropolis and Dungeon appearing most often, alongside Conflux, Inferno, Stronghold and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The terrain is largely rock and subterranean ground, with water covering about 14 percent of the map. The map holds 37 towns, 12 starting heroes, 65 mines, and a Grail, along with dragon dwellings, a number of wandering dragons and hydras, and many random monster stacks and artifacts.
