Under the Blade — RoE

Under the Blade is an extra large underground map for Restoration of Erathia, set on a 144 by 144 grid and rated hard. Four human players can take part, each leading a Castle, Fortress, Tower, or Necropolis, with no teams. The author describes a sprawling world with many regions and rival rulers, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses that call for different plans. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers nearly half the terrain, with grass, snow, and swamp making up most of the rest. Thirteen towns, 48 mines, twelve creature banks, and ten monoliths or portals are spread across it, along with the Grail, 40 random artifacts, and two placed relics. Hidden secrets, puzzles, and personal quests add further depth.
