Under the Blade is a Hard difficulty map for Restoration of Erathia, set on an Extra Large 144x144 board with an underground level. Four players compete without teams, each leading one faction: Castle for Blue, Fortress for Green, Tower for Orange, and Necropolis for Purple. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The terrain is mostly rock and grass, with some snow and swamp and a small share of water. Thirteen towns, two placed heroes, 48 mines, and the Grail are spread across the land, alongside the Helm of Heavenly Enlightenment and the Ambassador's Sash. The map also includes 12 creature banks, many wandering monsters, and hidden secrets to find.
