Ukraine — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Ukraine is an extra large, 144 by 144 surface map for Shadow of Death, rated hard, with no underground level. Eight players share the map, but only one can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled. There are no teams. Most players are Castle, with Fortress, Rampart, Stronghold, and Necropolis also in play. According to the author, the goal is to gather several legendary artifacts, including the Grail, and deliver them to a seer's hut on Snake Island while the hero survives. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Grass covers over half the land, water about a fifth, with dirt and swamp making up the rest. The map contains 19 towns, 76 mines, 4 seer huts, 9 monoliths and portals, and 18 creature banks.
