Tumult is a small 36 by 36 underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, rated Expert. It is built for seven players, with only one human seat and six computer-controlled colors, and no teams are set. Four players start as Castle, while Orange, Purple and Teal get random factions. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The terrain is mostly grass, rock, water and lava. The author's description evokes a storm over a realm where angels and devils can be awakened, at a price. Wandering armies include Cerberus, Magog, Archangels and Efreet Sultans, and dwellings hold Angels and Devils. Artifacts such as the Helm of Chaos and endless gold sacks are scattered across the map, alongside 19 mines and four monoliths or portals.
