Tournament is a medium underground map of 72 by 72 tiles for Horn of the Abyss, rated expert. It seats eight players, up to four of them human, with the Inferno colors Orange, Purple, Teal and Pink computer-controlled. Red, Blue, Tan and Green get random factions and form four teams. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Terrain is mostly rock, dirt and lava, with water covering about a tenth of the land. Highlights include the Grail, sixty mines, thirty-five monoliths and portals, and wandering Pit Lords and Magogs. The author's framing casts the players as recruits sitting a demanding combat exam.
