Too Many Monsters — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Too Many Monsters is a small 36x36 map for four players on the surface, with no underground level and no water. Each of the four players controls a randomly chosen faction, and no teams are set and no computer-only colors are used, so all four seats can be human. The map is played on Normal difficulty in the Shadow of Death version. Terrain is mostly snow, with grass, sand and rough ground making up the rest. The objective is to flag every creature dwelling on the map, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The king's premise is to bring wandering monsters under control by claiming their habitats. Scattered across the land are 46 random monster stacks, twelve kinds of dwelling creatures, 19 mines, two random artifacts and a timed event.
