The New World — AB
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
The New World is an Armageddon's Blade map set on an extra large 144 by 144 board with an underground level, rated for expert play. Eight players can take part, all of them human-controllable, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Each player starts with a different town type, from Castle and Rampart to Necropolis, Inferno and Dungeon. The author's note is a short call to rule the new world by seeking out and destroying every opponent, and that goal is the basis of the win condition: eliminate all enemies. A player loses by losing every town and hero. Grass, rock and rough ground make up most of the land, with water covering about an eighth of it. The map holds 14 towns, 96 mines, 22 creature banks and a Grail, and wandering monsters range from peasants to liches.
