The New Contact is an extra-large 144x144 underground map for Restoration of Erathia, set on the Impossible difficulty. Two players take part, with one human player at most and the Green side handled by the computer. There are no teams. The Red player fields a Castle and the Green player a Dungeon. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and the author's note says the way forward is to read the sign placed on the map. Losing means losing a specific hero. Rock covers about half the map, with water about a quarter and grass the rest. The map holds seven towns, nine heroes, and 114 random monster stacks, including Chaos Hydras and elementals roaming the land. Among the artifacts are Angel Wings, the Endless Sack of Gold, and the Golden Bow, and there are 28 mines, 10 seer huts, and 11 creature banks.
