The Midlle East — RoE

The Midlle East is a large 108 by 108 map for Restoration of Erathia at Normal difficulty, with an underground level included. Eight players start on the map, seven of them computer-controlled, leaving room for one human player. There are no teams. The author frames the goal in the first person as the Green player, who must flag every mine on the map to win, and loses if the hero Ehud Barak is defeated. Rock covers nearly half the terrain, with water, rough ground and swamp making up most of the rest. The eight factions are Dungeon, Rampart, Fortress, Castle, Necropolis, Inferno, Stronghold and Tower. The map holds 52 mines, three creature banks, and fifteen placed artifacts, including the Sword of Hellfire and the Still Eye of the Dragon, along with wandering monsters and dwellings.
