The gospel of Matthew — SoD

The Gospel of Matthew is a small underground map measuring 36 by 36 for Shadow of Death. Its premise asks whether the Gospel account is history or legend, following the cleric Rion as he tests whether the Devil can be defeated and whether Death can be overcome. Eight players are set up, but only one can be human, and the other seven colors are computer-controlled. There are no teams. Red is limited to Castle and Orange to Inferno, while the rest can field any of the eight factions. Victory requires capturing a specific town, and defeat comes if a specific hero is lost. Grass covers about half the terrain, dirt most of the remainder, and water five percent. Notable features include eleven towns, nine creature banks, six monoliths and portals, and wandering Devil and Arch Devil stacks.
