The Gathering — RoE

The Gathering is a medium 72 by 72 map for Restoration of Erathia on Normal difficulty, and it includes an underground level. Three players are set, but only one can be human, with the Red and Purple sides controlled by the computer. No teams are defined. Red fields Inferno, Necropolis and Dungeon, Blue plays Castle, and Purple plays Rampart. The story centers on a growing force of evil, possibly tied to a devil, gathering in the south of the elven lands. The player must defeat it, then launch a seaborne push while moving quickly between four castles. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Rock covers about half the terrain, while grass and water cover most of the rest. The map holds eight towns, 19 mines, 27 wandering monster stacks, one creature bank, and two monoliths or portals.
