The Foundation of the Order is a large Shadow of Death map measuring 108 by 108, with an underground level and Impossible difficulty. It is built around the story of the Paladin Order's founding. Seven players share the map, but only one can be human, and the other six are computer-run. Blue plays Castle, Tan plays Necropolis, Green plays Tower, Teal plays Conflux, and Red, Orange and Purple each play Fortress. Rock covers about half the terrain. Players win by defeating all enemies and lose once every town and hero is gone. The map holds 11 towns, 35 mines, 20 monoliths and portals, and eight creature banks.
