The empire of the world — SoD

Overview

Written from the facts in this map's file

The Empire of the World is an Extra Large, 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and a Hard rating. Its premise, paraphrased from the description, is an ordinary man in the Roman empire who unexpectedly rises to rule the whole world. Eight colors take part, but only one can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled with no team alliances. Pink holds all eight factions, while the other colors field between one and four each. Water covers about a third of the land, and lava, grass and swamp make up much of the rest. The map includes 45 towns, 29 heroes, 89 mines, 18 seer huts, the Grail, and 12 monoliths and portals. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses if a specific hero is lost.
